everyday life of the school?"
(a) Uncleanliness.
The School Nurses have carried out 3 cleanliness surveys
of all the children in the elementary schools during the year.
During the year the School Nurses made 58,588 examinations,
as compared with 58,683 in 1926. Of this number 12
children were found who harboured body vermin (19 in 1926),
479 children showed vermin and many nits in the hair (668 in
1926), whilst 2,140 children showed only a few nits (2,527 in 1926).
