To the School Medical Officer,
County Borough of East Ham,
Education Committee.
Sir,
I beg to submit to you my report for the year 1926.
The age groups inspected were from 5 to 9 years inclusive;
and treatment has been offered where necessary in all cases. The
number of children inspected was 9,392 and those referred for
treatment 6,716. This number must be augmented by those cases
of oral sepsis and bad toothache referred by the School Medical
Officers, nurses and head-teachers, which total 273.

Notwithstanding the adverse conditions, and the numerous
handicaps which beset a single-handed dentist in a County Borough
with +a school population of 23,000, it is with satisfaction that one
