A special enquiry is being instituted with regard to this type
of case, as prolonged and specialised treatment is necessary.

The types of new cases dealt with during the year may be summarised as follows :—

In addition to the cases recommended from the Public Health
Agencies of the Borough, Tuberculosis Dispensary, Welfare
Centre and School Clinics, the large General Hospitals have continued
to use the Association as Convalescing and Visiting Agent.
In addition to a large number of cases from the Great Ormond
Street and London Hospitals, the Association also co-operated with
the Almoners of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital,
East London Hospital, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital,
Queen's Hospital, Balaam Street Hospital, Westminster
Ophthalmic Hospital, Guy's Hospital, and National Heart
Hospital.

Convalescent or institutional treatment has been arranged for
varying periods according to medical advice at the following
places :—
