(a) Uncleanliness.
The School Nurses have carried out 3 cleanliness surveys
of all the children in the elementary schools during the year.
During the year the School Nurses made 58,090 examinations,
as compared with 57,936 in 1924. Of this number 23
children were found who harboured body vermin (31 in 1924),
652 children showed vermin and many nits in the hair (826 in
1924), whilst 2,856 children showed only a few nits (2,648 in 1924).
