Dangerous feebleness

Puerperal Fever Cases.
Five cases of Puerperal Fever were notified during the year.
3 cases occurred in Hospital practice.
2 cases occurred in private practice.
2 of the Hospital cases died.
Maternal Deaths.
The following causes of death were registered in connection
with parturition :—
Puerperal Septicaemia
Protracted Labour
Abortion
Pulmonary Embolism
Puerperal Haemorrhage

Such investigation as is possible is made into the circumstances
of all cases of death during parturition and all still-births.
Free Milk.
Under the Council's Scheme £1,100 worth of free milk was
given to expectant and nursing mothers and young children.
Careful investigation is made into the family circumstances, so as
to secure that only necessitous cases shall receive this benefit.
