TUBERCULOSIS DISPENSARY.
Of the 267 cases added during the year, 254 were new cases
and 13 were re-admissions.
317 sputum examinations were made, 59 were found to contain
Tubercle Bacilli, 258 were negative.
667 patients were examined for diagnosis, 254 were found to
be suffering from some form of Tuberculosis and attended for
treatment; of these, 203 were found to have Pulmonary Tuberculosis,
26 were contacts, and 51 were found to have Non-Pulmonary
Tuberculosis, 12 of these were contacts. 54 were of
doubtful diagnosis, so were allowed to attend for observation.
Number of Pre-tuberculars and cases attending for observation,
229.
Number of Nurses' visits, 3,771; of these, 356 were primary
visits and 3,415 secondary.
