Owing to the overflow of the river Thames on the 29th November, 145 houses and premises and adjoining roads in the vicinity of the river were flooded, caused by the defective condition of the Floods Prevention Works of the wharves and premises along the riverside. The whole of the streets were cleared the same evening, and the Vestry employees assisted the occupiers in clearing the basements and houses. Premises in the following streets were flooded:—
