House Drainage. One hundred and seventy house drainage
systems have-been reconstructed; 258 such systems have also been
opened, cleansed and amended; 52 surface drains have been constructed;
33 drains and soil pipes have been ventilated, 130 systems
have been tested by smoke and 101 by water, and 31 by chemicals,
of which number 192 were found to be defective; 19 new soil
pipes and 159 traps have been fixed, together with 18 intercepting
