Note.— These inspections are made upon the application
of the owners. The Medical Officer of Health, if satisfied with
the sanitary condition of the dwellings, is required by the
Customs and Inland Revenue Acts to give the owners a certificate
to that effect. This enables them to obtain an abatement
in regard to Inhabited House Duty.
