Factory and Workshops Act, 1895, and Public Health (London)
Act, 1891.
Under the afore-mentioned Acts a systematic inspection is
being carried on, thus entailing a large amount of time in the
endeavour to compile a complete register of the factories and
workshops within the Parish, and we are pleased to state that
every assistance is given by the various employers of labour with
reference to the provision of sanitary appliances required in
accordance with the Acts.

Public Health (London) Act, 1891.
Twenty-five summonses were taken out under this Act, four of
them being for exposing or selling unsound food, 13 for the
abatement of nuisances, two for failing to provide sufficient watercloset
accommodation, and six for contravening the Bye-laws of
the London County Council. Of these, 23 resulted in convictions,
one was withdrawn and one dismissed, the fines and costs imposed
amounting to £51 8s.
