At the suggestion of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector under the
Canal Boats Act, the Sanitary Inspector having charge of
the Northern District of the Parish has, with the approval of the
Local Government Board, beeu appointed an Inspector under the
said Act, and the result of his inspections of the boats which
have come into that portion of the Regent's Canal situated
within the Parish will he found in the Inspector's Report on
page 59.
Besides those already mentioned, I have made numerous
Reports to your Public Health Committee on the various matters
which have occupied its attention, and twice during the year I have
visited and reported upon four slaughter-houses, two cowsheds,
and 35 bakehouses situated in the Parish, with the result that
notices to cleanse, whitewash and remedy other sanitary defects
were served upon the owners of two cowsheds and 26 bakehouses.
