PROVISION OF MILK AND MEALS IN SCHOOLS
During the year 1966, the total number of meals served was 3,479,089
of which 80,375 were free.
60 departments were served by kitchens on the premises and 12 by
container meals.
The milk in Schools Scheme has continued and one-third pint bottles
of milk are provided for all primary and secondary school children who
wish to have them.

MEDICAL TREATMENT
Children with defects are referred to their family doctor, to hospital
for specialist opinion or treatment, or to the School Clinic for treatment
for minor ailments and other special defects.
