Deaths from Suicide.
Twenty-eight people committed suicide during 1963, an increase of
two as compared with 1962. Fifty per cent of these deaths occurred in
the 45-65 age group, the highest proportion being female.
Deaths from Infectious Disease.
There were six deaths from tuberculosis, seven from influenza and
one from meningococcal infection during 1963. There were none from
measles, whooping cough or poliomyelitis.
