Food Premises
There were at the end of the year in the district 211 grocers shops,
137 greengrocers and fruiterers', 131 butchers', 53 fishmongers', 29 dairies
and 158 confectioners/cafes.
Food Condemned
During the year 6,024 lbs. of food were found to be unfit and had to
be destroyed. Fresh meat and offals accounted for 3,770 lbs; fresh fish,
