The following is a list of those houses included in the different Orders,
Clearance or Demolition, made before the war and which are still occupied
(the figures in parenthesis are the numbers of houses still occupied) :—
Clearance Orders: West End Lane, No. 1 (1) and No. 2 (2) ;
Ferndale Terrace (8) ; High Street, Stanmore, No. 3 (2) and No. 4 (4);
College Hill Road (2); Headstone Place (20); Pleasant Place (3);
Brewery Cottages (5), a total of 47.
Demolition Orders : 1-11, Peel Road (1) ; 93, 95 (1) and 99, 101 (1),
Greenford Road ; Kingsfield Terrace (6), a total of 9.
Closing Orders : Canning Place (2).
In addition, four out of the five properties the Minister condemned
in the unconfirmed Marlborough Road Clearance Orders are occupied,
the total number of condemned properties still being occupied being 62.
There are also four houses at present occupied, but in regard to which
the owner has given an undertaking that they will not be re-let when
vacated by the present tenants.
