cost of insulin a substantial burden. Approval was, therefore, given for
this class of case to be helped, under Section 177 of the Public "Health
Act, 1936, by Local Authorities. The Council decided that insulin
should be provided free of cost to those of incomes of under £420 per
annum who could not obtain it from other sources. Seven persons were
helped in this way during the year.
