A summary of the analysis of Sample A is:—" This is a clear
and bright water of normal colour. It is neutral in reaction, hard
in character, although not to an excessive degree; contains no
excess of salinity and no metals. The water is of a high degree
of organic and bacterial purity, and is considered pure and wholesome
in character and suitable for drinking and domestic purposes."
A summary of the analysis of Sample B is:—"This sample
is clear and bright, of normal colour, neutral in reaction and free
from metals. The water is neutral in reaction, of moderate hardness,
contains no excess of salinity and is of a high standard of
organic and bacterial purity. It is therefore considered pure and
wholesome in character and suitable for drinking and domestic
purposes."
On occasion the premises served by the Rickmansworth and
Uxbridge Valley Water Company are without a supply. This
happened once during the year.
DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE.
The following particulars relating to the drainage and sewerage
of the district have been kindly supplied by the Surveyor.
Main Sewerage.
The County Council's Main Drainage Scheme has now operated
for two full years and is proving itself eminently satisfactory.
