    Following an offer by estate developers for the purchase of "Tyneholme" which, if effected, would have resulted in a serious loss to the district owing to the treatment services performed there, the Council adopted the recommendation of the Public Health Committee that "Tyneholme" be purchased, the completion to be on the 1st April, 1937, with a view to the erection on the site of a central clinic for maternity and child welfare purposes.
