Outlying Public Institutions. — The deaths of parishioners at public institutions, &c. outside the parish, were 236 in number, against 234, 211, and 247, in the preceding three years respectively. In Table III. (Appendix) all of these deaths are included. The deaths occurred in the following institutions, viz.:—

The deaths of thirteen male parishioners, in addition to
the above, were recorded as follows: two suicidal by drowning,
in the Grand Junction Canal (Paddington), and in Islington
parish, respectively; two from accidents at Goods Stations on
the Great Western Railway, at Paddington, and Westbourne
Park respectively; and 9 which occurred suddenly, viz.:—
One in a private house in Fulham, two in Paddington, and
one in St. Marylebone, one in a cab on the way to St. George's
Hospital, one at the Commissionaire Barracks, Strand; and
one each at the East Putney, the Streatham, and the Uxbridge
Road Railway Stations.
Deaths from zymotic diseases occurred as follows:—
Western District (Asylum Board's) Hospital, 35 (scarlet
fever 23, and diphtheria 12); North-Western District
Hospital, 6 (diphtheria 3; scarlet fever 2, and enteric fever 1);
St. Mary's Hospital, 5 (diphtheria 2; enteric fever 1; whoopingcough
1, and diarrhcea 1); South-Western District Hospital, 2
(scarlet fever'); St. George's Hospital, 1 (enteric fever); and
Metropolitan Hospital, 1 (diarrhcea).
UNCERTIFIED DEATHS.
