NOTES.
1. Includes Small-pox, Measles, Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Whooping-cough,
Typhus, Enteric (or Typhoid), and Simple Continued Fevers, and
Diarrhoea. Thirteen of the deaths occuired in Hospitals outside the
District.
3. Includes Phthisis, Scrofula, Tuberculosis, Rickets, and Tabes: the deaths of
non-parishioners at the Brompton Consumption Hospital are excluded.
4. Includes Marasmus, Atrophy, Debility, Want of Breast Milk, and Premature
Birth.
5. Includes Hydrocephalus, Infantile Meningitis, Convulsions, and Teething.
(In Table III Hydrocephalus and Infantile Meningitis are classified with
tubercular diseases, Convulsions with diseases of the nervous system,
and Teething with diseases of the digestive system.)
