The Sewer Works done in the first five streets, being for (he improvement
of the Charterhouse Estate, were undertaken and carried
out by the Vestry by arrangement, that Corporation paying the costs
(see balance sheet).
Those constructed in " an intended Street, St. John Street Road,"
were also done by the owner of that property at his own cost.
