The figures below show how, during the five-year period, the
birth rate in Leyton has compared with corresponding rates in the
Great Towns, in London, and in England and Wales. It is evident
that during each of the five years, the Leyton birth rate has remained
at a lower level than in any of the other three comparative areas.
