the distribution has any special significance. The majority of the
figures have not been examined statistically and it is possible that
the differences in the various groups are not greater than may be
due to chance. I am able, by the courtesy of a member of the staff
of the London School of Hygiene, to say that this is so in the case
of the stillbirth figures with the apparent increase from the first
to the third pregnancy.
