PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
PUBLIC HEALTH INSPECTION OF THE AREA
During 1962 the Public Health Inspectors carried out 29,597
inspections, Including reinspections. The nature of these
inspections is shown in Table No. 9. As a result, 570 Intimation
Notices and 255 Statutory Notices were served. It was not found
necessary to institute legal proceedings to enforce the requirements
of Statutory Notices served under the Public Health (London) Act.
COMPLAINTS
The number of complaints received during the year was 2,458
compared with 3,040 in 1961. Any necessary action was taken where
complaints were made or nuisances discovered.
