INQUESTS
Seventy-seven inquests were held on Woolwich residents during
the year, and 445 post-mortems on Woolwich residents were carried
out on behalf of the Coroner.
INFANT MORTALITY
There were 44 infant deaths during the year, being six more
than in the previous year. The infant death rate was 19.5 compared
with 21.6 for England and Wales, and 24.0 for London.

DEATHS FROM CANCER
Of the total number of deaths, 305 were from Cancer (excluding
Sarcoma), being 17 less than in the previous year.
