From the bare statement of facts set out above it may not
be apparent that your Public Analyst, Dr. Amphlett Williams,
Ph.D., is one of the foremost practitioners in this field.
On many occasions he has been instrumental in bringing important
food questions into the open. Only last year he was the leading
figure in presenting the report of the Association of Public
Analysts on the use of misleading labels, and advertisements of
certain medicinal preparations, following which an agreed Code
of Practice for the labelling of Proprietary Medicines has now
been introduced.
