32 samples were submitted to the Southern Group
Laboratory at Hither Green Hospital for bacteriological
examination and were also tested for chlorine content and
pH reaction by the Health Department.
The average results of the examinations and tests are as follows:-

The routine physical cleansing and chlorination of
paddling and boating pools is producing improved bacteriological
results.
OLD PEOPLE'S WELFARE
The Borough Council has again played a prominent part
in the welfare of the elderly in the Borough. A record
is kept of all elderly persons requiring periodic visits
by the Health Department. This register contains over
900 names.
