OUTWORKERS
The latest return by employers of labour of outworkers
in the Borough was made in August and showed that there were
204 outworkers residing in the Borough employed by local
firms, and another 92 persons were employed by local firms
and live outside the Borough.
The homes of the outworkers are inspected regularly
to ensure that the working conditions are satisfactory.
The outworkers employed in the Borough were engaged on the following work
