Hospital and at St. Nicholas Hospital. General practitioners
referred 17 sputum specimens for examination, and the hospital
carried out 73 other sputum examinations during the year. 12 nasal
and throat swabs were referred to the hospital by general practitioners
for examination. It is an advantage to all concerned to have
a service of this nature conveniently available within the Borough.
