Maternity and Child Welfare Clinics. As already stated, the control
of the maternity and child welfare clinics passed to the London County Council
in July, 1948. Attendances had been very good, and it is interesting to note that
at the time of the transfer of the personal health services to the London County
Council the Borough Council were holding more weekly child welfare sessions than
any other metropolitan borough.
