Dr. Margaret Emslie reports as follows on the work of the year:—
"A total of 1,358 routine inspections were done this year plus 615
re-inspections, compared with 1,314 and 505 respectively in 1935. The general
tendency to improvement in nutritional conditions, such as muscle tone, rickety
stigmata and anaemia, that was noted in previous years has again been maintained
and it is satisfactory to note that only 8 per cent, of children were considered
even " thin " and none as suffering from definite malnutrition. In only
