A temporary staff of 19 measurers and clerks were employed for approximately five
months in connection with the survey of working-class houses rendered necessary by the overcrowding
provisions of the Housing Act, 1936.
The Medical Officer of Health is Administrative Tuberculosis Officer and Executive
Officer under the Council's Maternity and Child Welfare Scheme.
