Inspection of Houses.— The systematic inspection of houses in the district in
accordance with the provisions of the Housing (Consolidated) Regulations, 1925,
was carried on during the year and 772 houses were so surveyed. These figures are
smaller than in previous years owing to the fact that one Sanitary Inspector was
seconded for special survey of the Borough in connection with unhealthy areas and
in systematically reporting on houses which might be so dealt with.
In tabular form, Table No. 33, is shown a detailed statement of specific action
(except action taken in respect of clearance areas) taken under the Housing Acts
during the year.
