Maternal Mortality.—The number of deaths from Puerperal Sepsis was 2,
and from other accidents and diseases of pregnancy 4, making a total of 6 maternal
deaths, the same number as in 1932. The maternal death-rate per 1,000 births
was 3.29, as against 2.92 in 1932.
