It will be noted from the Table that the distribution of the different age groups
indicates that the population of Woolwich is an older population than it was in 1921,
and this observation is borne out by the fact that in that year the average age of
males was 29.6 years, and females 30.4 years, whereas in 1931 it was 31.5 and 32.9
respectively.
