The new Health Centre was opened at Eltham by the Minister of Health in
February, replacing the one held for many years in the hut at 179, Well Hall Road.
This Centre is a combined School Treatment Centre and Infant Consultation Centre
and during the year an agreement was entered into with the School Treatment
Committee for the use of rooms there for the medical and dental treatment of school
children. A photograph of the new Centre appears as an inset.
A Centre was established at St. Luke's Church Hall in April, 1931, in order
to meet the needs of the mothers in that part of Eltham which lies east of the Well
Hall Road. Sessions are held once weekly, on Wednesday afternoon, one of the
Council's medical officers attending at each session.
In tabular form below are shewn detailed statistics for 1931 and the consolidated
statistics for the previous year.
