Chemical and Bacteriological Examination of Food.— In addition to the
bacteriological examination of milk already referred to a few other samples of
food were submitted for bacteriological examination during the year. The results
of the chemical examinations are found in Tables Nos. 37, 38 and 39.
Nutrition.— The dissemination of knowledge and instruction on matters
affecting nutrition is part of the Council's general scheme of Health Propaganda, q.v.
Other Legal Proceedings.— No legal proceedings other than those for adulteration
were taken in respect of infringements of various food laws.
