In Table No. 66 appears a summary of the cases coming to the knowledge of
the Department during the year. It includes notifications received from general
practitioners on form "A," from school medical officers on form "B," cases
not notified but included in the death returns, and cases transferred from other
areas. It does not include notifications on form "C" or "D," i.e., from medical
superintendents of hospitals, nor any duplicate notifications. Deaths during the
year are classified in the same Table by age and sex groups.
