The complete reconstruction of the service has increased its efficiency and the
new apparatus has given excellent service and is very satisfactory, particularly in
effecting quick disinfection and return of the goods.
Disinfestation.—In accordance with the terms of an agreement with the London
County Council, disinfestation of school children has been arranged for at the
Cleansing Station, White Hart Road. In recent years the number of children so
sent has fallen considerably. Disinfestation of adults is carried out at times when
the children are not there.
