Treatment of Minor Ailments. Children requiring medical
or surgical treatment for certain minor ailments are referred
to the School Clinic, Brewer Street, to a private practitioner,
or to a hospital. During the year 37 were sent to this clinic,
and for each case the Council paid 5s. Children referred
there suffered from the following conditions :—

The Work of the Health Visitors. The work carried out
by the Council's Health Visitors during 1927 is set out in
detail in Table No. 72, which follows. During 1927 the
Council, with the approval of the Ministry of Health, paid
the class fees and expenses of two Health Visitors attending
a refresher course for Health Visitors.
