Sunlight Clinic. The Medical Officer in charge of this
centre is Dr. J. E. A. Lynham, who is the physician-in-charge
of the Electro-Therapeutic section of the War Memorial
Hospital. He attends fortnightly and generally supervises
the treatment which is carried out by the Council's staff.
The Clinic was only working at full capacity during the last
few weeks of the year and it is yet too early to report fully
on its working. Two lamps are in useāone carbon-arc and
one mercury-vapour. During the period 99 children
commenced treatment; 31 of these were suffering from
rickets, 34 from debility or malnutrition, 12 from bronchitis
or other catarrhal conditions, 10 from anaemia and 12 from
other diesases. The total number of treatments given was
1,639.

Halls in the same street. The number of children attending
the centre was 128. The total number of attendances,
including mothers, was 846. As in previous years one of the
Council's Assistant Medical Officers attended this centre every
alternate Monday, and a Health Visitor attended at each
session. The Council do not make a grant towards the
expenses of this centre.

a description is given of the Council's mothercraft classes,
and they were continued on the same lines during 1927.

thought it may continue to grow. In these classes collective
and individual teaching has been given so that every mother
