Inquests. There were 147 inquests held on Woolwich
residents during the year compared with 141 in 1925 and 141
in 1924.
DEATHS OF CHILDREN 1—5 YEARS OF AGE.
The number of deaths of children between 1—2 years of
age was 26, and between 2—5, 32. In 1925, these figures
were 32 and 34 respectively. The causes of death are given
in detail in Table No. 9.
Below are set out Tables showing the variation in the
rates of mortality in these age groups in five.yearly periods
since 1911 and for the year 1926.
