The Committee meets four times a year, and has various
Sub-Committees for dealing with different aspects of the
work. The General Purposes and Assessment Sub-Committee
meets once a week, the Finance Sub-Committee once
a month, and the Grancher Sub-Committee as often as necessary.
During the year the number of meetings held,
including Sub-Committees, was 52. The Committee dealt
with 324 cases. From various sources during the year the
total sum of £303 14s. 2d. was raised, the total expenditure
being £275 4s. Under the Grancher Scheme, 14 children,
who were non-tuberculous contacts of tuberculous persons,
were boarded out in the country for varying periods and
derived considerable benefit. The number of cases considered
