Factory and Workshop Act. The Medical Officer of Health
is required to include in his Annual Report the details of the
administration of this Act in his district. The total number
of factories, workshops and workplaces on the register at the
end of the year was 122. The number of inspections made
was 761, which compares with 912 in 1924 and 881 in 1923.
Sanitary defects were found in 81 instances. Bakehouses
are specially reported on in the section dealing with the supervision
of food. The following table is in the form adopted
by the Home Office in order to ensure uniformity in the presentation
of the figures.
