Clerk for legal proceedings. In 1923, the corresponding
figure was 165. The Town Clerk followed his usual procedure
of writing a letter reminding the owner that he was in default
in not complying with the notice, and requesting his attention
forthwith and stating that, in the event of his continued
neglect to the terms of the notice, a summons would be issued.
It was found necessary to issue 16 summonses (39 in 1923),
the details of which are set out in tabular form in Table No. 64.
