(b) The number of cases notified to him under the Regulations,
1912, for the first time during the quarter ;
(c) The number of cases removed from the register
during the quarter, giving name and address of each
such case and the reason for such removal ; and
(d) The number of cases remaining on the register at
the end of the quarter.
Separate figures are to be given in each case for males and
females and for pulmonary and non-pulmonary cases. In
accordance with these Regulations the records were tabulated
and it was found that the number of cases of Tuberculosis
in the Borough on the 31st December was as follows:—
Males. Females. Total.
Pulmonary 1,009 859 1,868
Non-pulmonary 276 263 539
1,285 1,122 2,407
These are the actual number of cases who were suffering
from Tuberculosis and whose address in the Borough was
known. There are other cases in the Borough who have
been lost sight of for various reasons and there must be cases
who were notified in other districts who are now residing- in
Woolwich.
