Supply of Milk, etc., to Necessitous, Expectant and Nursing
Mothers and to Young Children. The approximate cost of
milk and dinners supplied to expectant and nursing mothers
during the year, was as follows :—Dried milk, £1,582 ; Fresh
milk, £5 13s. 8d. ; Dinners, £1 7s. 6d.

In February, 1923, the Council considered the terms of a letter from the Ministry of Health and resolved that new scales of income as a test of necessity should be introduced, and the following scales were adopted :—
