Natural Increase of Population. The natural increase of
population is the excess of births over deaths. In 1920 it
was 2,171 ; in 1921 it was 1,603 ; in 1922 it was 1,338, and
in 1923 it was 1,480.
Table No. 7 shews the birth rates in each registration
district (after correction for outward and inward transfers)
each year since 1919.
