There is no General Hospital in Woolwich, and in consequence
considerable use is made of the London General
Hospitals, but no actual figures showing the extent are
available. Some information, however, can be obtained
from the death returns and the following table, No. 40,
shows the number of deaths of Woolwich residents occurring
in London General Hospitals during the year. The number
of deaths of Woolwich residents which occurred in the local
Infirmaries was as follows:—Woolwich, 321; Lewisham, 75.
