The following table No. 15, shows the number of deaths
each year since 1918 from respiratory diseases, the annual
death rate, the number of deaths under 5 years, and the
percentage of deaths occurring in children under 5 years of
age:—

Diarrhoea.
Only 9 deaths were ascribed to diarrhoeal diseases during
the year, and 7 of these occurred under 2 years of age. The
corresponding figures for 1921 were 72 and 60 respectively.
Violence and Suicide.
40 deaths—24 males and 16 females—occurred from violence,
apart from suicide. Fourteen deaths were due to
suicidal causes, 10 males and 4 females.
